James Moore:
Driving Revenue, Inspiring Teams
James Moore is a proven growth architect and trusted partner to founders, boards, and investors. With nearly 30 years of sales experience — and more than 20 years in SaaS, AdTech, and B2B services — he specializes in transforming sales organizations and unlocking scalable revenue growth.
James began his career in sales and commercial leadership across multiple industries, building the broad perspective that now informs his adaptable, customer-driven approach. In 2009, he entered the AdTech space with FetchBack, a retargeting pioneer later acquired by GSI Commerce. Soon after, he became Chief Revenue Officer at Simpli.fi, where over 14 years he scaled revenue from $10M to more than $200M, led global teams of 200+, and helped guide the company through three private equity transactions — with Frontier Capital, GTCR, and Blackstone — culminating in a $1.5B valuation.
At Simpli.fi, James’s leadership spanned global new logo acquisition, retention, and expansion. He built the teams, systems and processes that enabled sustainable, repeatable growth while also navigating the complexities of M&A integration and private equity-backed transformation.
James brings deep expertise in:
Go-to-market transformation and sales optimization
Private equity-backed growth and board-level reporting
M&A execution, integration, and post-acquisition acceleration
Building and leading high-performance commercial teams
Sales training & development
Keynote speaker, writer and podcast guest appearances
Today, as founder of Selling Candor Advisory LLC, James serves as a fractional CRO and consultant, partnering with founders, private equity firms, and executive teams to accelerate growth, optimize sales organizations, and create transparency at every stage of scaling. His leadership philosophy blends authenticity, accountability, and operational discipline — a combination that delivers measurable results while earning lasting trust at every level of the organization.
James holds a B.A. from Texas State University, completed executive education at the Wharton School, and is currently enrolled in Columbia Business School’s CEO executive capstone program.
If your organization is preparing for its next stage of growth, raising capital, or optimizing its go-to-market engine, James Moore can help you get there.
